ALL ABOUT ME!
Hi! I'm Gloria Dragonette, and I am so happy to be teaching your child this year! This is my ninth year teaching 3rd grade, and my 17th year in education. In a previous life I was a stay-at-home mom and before that-an IBMer. I have three grown children, ages 28, 27, and 23. Laura is in NYC, working as an assistant editor at Norton Publishing. Christine is the Director of Social Ministry in St. Louis, and Joey is in graduate school at University of Texas-Austin. Now that they are grown, I really value our time spent together!
Third grade is such a fun and challenging year, and I love helping children manage the transition from second to third grade. Students grow unbelievably in this year. They learn how to become more responsible for themselves, their materials, learn lots of new concepts, and yes-take tests!
You are an integral part of creating an environment for your child to succeed. Thank you in advance for taking time to help your child as needed, while allowing them to work independently and make mistakes in order to learn.
I look forward to a fun year of learning and discovery!
